Money transfer to fix convention center damage

A transfer of funds between project accounts will help repair wind and storm damage to the west wall of the Duke Energy Center.

Cincinnati City Council approved and ordinance that will send $75,000 in capital improvement program funds from project account Building Equipment '08 to Convention Center Fund 103, then send $75,000 from the convention center fund to the Capital Maintenance '08 project account.

The damage cannot be covered by insurance payments because the cost of the repair is less than the deductible.

The City hopes to get the storm damage repaired before the NAACP's 99th annual meeting here next month.
