A new exhibit is opening at Park + Vine for Final Friday that shows how an historic building in Over-the-Rhine could benefit from a green rehabilitation.
1700 Vine Street: Visions of a Sustainable Over-the-Rhine is a collection of drawings, photographs and models of the 4,000-square-foot building, which was constructed in around 1870.
The building has a history of neglect, drug activity, and prostitution.
The exhibit is a collaboration between University of Cincinnati DAAP architecture students, cultural resources consultants Gray & Pape, Cincinnati Preservation Association, solar and geothermal experts, LEED-certified architects, and building owners Patty Klein and Reid Hartmann.
1700 Vine Street: Visions of a Sustainable Over-the-Rhine runs through July 20.
