Seventy elderly, low-income and/or disabled homeowners will receive free home repairs this Saturday from 8 AM to 2 PM.
Over 600 volunteers are expected to take part in People Working Cooperatively's (PWC) Repair Affair, a volunteer event that includes the building of accessibility ramps, porch repairs, roofing and gutter work, yard cleanup, and other general property repairs.
The job sites span the metropolitan area, including locations such as Blue Ash, Bond Hill, Colerain, Madisonville and Union Township, Clermont County.
A typical PWC client earns under $13,000 per year and is ill, disabled, or facing other life crises.
This year's event is presented by Spirit of America National Bank and is sponsored by Humana, Duke Energy, the City of Cincinnati, and other local businesses.
Repair Affair, which is held every spring, began in 1983.
Volunteer information is available on the PWC Repair Affair web page.
