The Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission (HCRPC) is seeking public review and comment to update its comprehensive master plan.
HCRPC bylaws require that plans such as Community COMPASS, which was adopted in 2003, is reviewed every five years to keep it current.
Written comments will be accepted by the HCRPC until July 11, and the commission will convene a public hearing before the update is adopted.
Community COMPASS, begun by the Planning Partnership, is a long-range plan that seeks to address mutual goals related to physical, economic, and social issues among the 49 communities within Hamilton County.
As a result of the plan, more than 50 community building initiatives have been launched.
In April, the plan's steering team noted significant progress in developing a comprehensive economic development plan, collaborating on countywide issues, working to revitalize our First Suburbs, increasing citizen participation, and providing incentives for better collaborative decision making.
The team reported no progress on a regional and multi-modal transit system.
