The enforcement arm of the Kennedy Heights Urban Design Plan has become law.
Last week, Cincinnati City Council unanimously approved adding the Kennedy Heights Urban Overlay District to the City's municipal code.
The new rules mean that all new building and wrecking permits for properties located within the district are subject to review by a zoning hearing examiner.
The overlay district is the City's fourteenth.
The Kennedy Heights Urban Design Plan is part of the neighborhood's multi-year effort to improve the appearance and the residential/commercial mix of the Montgomery Road corridor, specifically near the Kennedy Avenue intersection and the Kennedy Heights Arts Center.
