The Covington Historic Preservation Office is currently accepting nominations for its 2008 River Cities Historic Preservation Awards, to be held in May in conjunction with National Preservation Month.
Nominations are being accepted in the following categories:
* Exterior restoration - residential
* Exterior renovation - mixed-use/commercial
* Rehabilitation - residential
* Rehabilitation - mixed-use/commercial
* Adaptive re-use
* Project excellence
* Stewardship
To be eligible, projects must have been completed during the 2007 calendar year.
Projects will be judged by city staff and the Urban Design Review Board based upon design sensitivity, best preservation practices, degree of difficulty and community impact.
