Now THIS was an ambitious assignment.
Columnist Bill McGraw of the Detroit Free Press spent a portion of several months driving all 2,100 off Detroit's streets.
The idea was to get a street-level view of what wrong and what's right with the city, and the result was a five-part series that not only includes creeping blight, but also the indomitable spirit of its citizens.

It just occurred to me that there are still many streets in my own City that I've never even seen.
