Died: February 2008
Cause of death: An emergency demolition by the City, who felt that the building was in imminent danger of collapse. Part of the structure collapsed last October, but it has been spilling bricks since approximately last June. The exterior was open to the elements and had been damaged by contact from an automobile. The interior lacked functional mechanicals. The apartment building was owned by the West Eighth and State Tenant Cooperative Organization (WESTCO), but has been vacant for several years.
